Dr. Philip Sakimoto, Director of the Minor in Sustainability, will lead an open discussion on ways to find common ground when talking about climate change with others who may have opposing perspectives on it. Climate deniers, climate activists, and those who are somewhere in-between are all invited to participate. We all share common goals for ourselves, our families, and others: pleasant surroundings, economic security, safe neighborhoods, and so forth. Working from that common ground, let’s explore together ways to prevent initially small differences in priorities and approaches from becoming major points of division.
