Beef Free ND

(part of a series)

Location: North and South Dining Halls

The Notre Dame Student Government Department of Sustainability is partnering with Campus Dining and Campus Ministry to encourage the student body to go beef-free during Lent. The Beef Free ND initiative will include a new meatless alternative in the dining halls every week of Lent, encouraging students to give up beef and try new meat substitutes. The beef industry is one of the biggest contributors to climate change due to its high levels of carbon emissions and the requirement of vast quantities of feed for livestock. Replacing beef with meatless alternatives is one of the best ways to support sustainability in your daily life. Join us by going beef-free for Lent!.
